THE RABBIT UNDERTHE AUSPICES OF THE TAROTS

This was a project done with a partner for a contest. The theme of the contest was 'Year of the Rabbit' and our concept was mixing together Chinese zodiac fortunes with tarot cards. My part consists of the opening scene as well as the scene potraying the 'Two Of Cups'.

The story is based on a sad rabbit who discovered its future fortunes while drinking at a river.
This consists of just my part.
The story starts off with a more cool and darker color palette and a rabbit by a river.
As the rabbit is trying to take a sip of water, something shiny is seen flowing down.
Upon closer inspection, it looks to be jade pendants resembling tarot cards, telling about the rabbit's fortune.
The camera zooms into the rabbit's eyes, showing the future.
The jade tarot is 'Two Of Cups'. This refers to the romantic relationships in the rabbit's life. The Chinese zodiac fortune states that it is a good time for single rabbits to find a romantic partner and the meaning of 'Two Of Cups' is to express the caring that you feel.

This scene shows the marriage between two rabbits, showing a positive turn in the romantic relations in the rabbit's life.

The color palette also becomes warm and brighter to signify happier times.
The next jade tarot is 'Ace Of Pentacles'. This relates to the career and wealth of the rabbit. The Chinese zodiac fortunes states that rabbit people will have some good chances at work and meet new challenges that year. The meaning of 'Ace Of Pentacles' is to take small steady steps towards your long-term goal and great results will accumulate.

The scene shows the rabbit with a gold ingot, telling us that the rabbit will be financially good in the future.
The last jade tarot is 'Nine Of Wands'. This relates to the health of the rabbit. The Chinese zodiac fortune states that rabbits may suffer from nervous system disease because of their unstable mood and that they have to stay positive and keep a balanced diet to solve this. The meaning of 'Nine Of Wands' is that there is an important place for rest and recuperation in any endeavor.

The scene first shows a sick rabbit.
Golden carrots grow from the ground, and the rabbit eats it, thus regaining its health back. This shows that although the rabbit will face some health issues in the future, they will be able to work past it.
The story ends with a final frame, stating 'Happy Chinese New Year'.
